● vt. ►SON Diminuer la fréquence d'échantillonnage d'un son (sample), afin de lui faire prendre moins de place. On perd évidemment en qualité. Cette technique est également utilisée pour les images (un prend un pixel parmi plusieurs, toujours pour diminuer la taille du fichier). C'est avant tout un verbe anglais "to downsample".
