● ►en n. m. ►COMM►NET Projet de technologie de connexion par micro-ondes entre appareils portables, ordinateurs, téléphones. Fonctionnant dans la bande des 2.4 GHz, cette norme permet d'échanger des données à un débit allant jusqu'à 1 Mbps, en commutation de paquets, en commutation de circuits, ou les deux à la fois, dans le cadre d'un PAN (ou WPAN). Les principaux promoteurs de ce SIG étaient en mai 1998 IBM, Intel, Nokia, Ericsson et Toshiba. Ils ont été rejoints depuis par plus de 1300 sociétés de tous les domaines. Normalisé sous le nom de 802.15.1. Le nom vient de Harald Blaatand (910-986), aka Harald II, qui a unifié au Xe siècle sous une seule couronne le Danemark, la Norvège et les royaumes vikings (d'où ce choix pour nommer un standard unificateur). Il était surnommé la "dent bleue" parce qu'il adorait les myrtilles et les mûres!). (D'après "Srikrishnan" et Daniel Larvet).
