● ►en sg. m. ►GESTFICH Long File Name. Nom de fichier long, que l'on peut utiliser sur certains systèmes depuis des années, et seulement depuis 1995 chez Microsoft. Le principal souci avec ces noms de fichiers longs est qu'ils donnent l'impression aux utilisateurs non avertis qu'ils peuvent utiliser n'importe quoi comme noms de fichiers. Ce qui mène à la catastrophe, naturellement. Ces noms longs ne sont en fait qu'une extension des entrées FAT, les fichiers étant de toute façon stockés avec un nom en 8.3.
