● ►en n. m. ►COMM Procédé de contournement des monopoles téléphoniques: vous appelez un serveur-commutateur à l'étranger, vous raccrochez, le serveur vous rappelle et vous donne une tonalité étrangère. Dès lors, vous pouvez téléphoner, par exemple aux États-Unis, avec le tarif téléphonique US, au lieu de celui de France Tu Déconnes. On peut aussi utiliser le call-back pour sécuriser des communications: quelqu'un vous appelle et vous dit qui il est, puis il raccroche. Vous le rappelez alors vous-même, vous assurant ainsi qu'il n'y a pas d'usurpation d'identité. Pratique aussi quand il faut se connecter sur les serveurs au boulot le dimanche matin et qu'on n'a pas envie de le payer sur sa note de téléphone personnelle.
